The Quantum village by HQI at Vivatech: the quantum computing ecosystem mobilized for Europe’s biggest tech event
For the 2nd year running, France Hybrid HPC Quantum Initiative (HQI) – led by CEA, GENCI and Inria, supported by teams from CNRS and France Universités – is organizing the Quantum village by HQI @Vivatech (stand L12). The Quantum Village by HQI is the main space dedicated entirely to quantum computing and technologies at Europe’s leading innovation event, and is supported by Eviden, OVHcloud and Quantonation, the leading investment fund in quantum technologies. HQI federates major players in the quantum ecosystem and highlights startups in several facets of the National Quantum Strategy: computing, communications and cryptography.
Pack Quantique Ile-de-France: the Paris Region and its partners are committed to strengthening the insurance and banking sectors through quantum computing
After the 10 quantum packs already set up in the energy sector, the discovery of new drugs, manufacturing processes for the semiconductor industry, the aeronautics, space and defense industries and insurance, the Ile-de-France region has decided to extend this scheme...
Quantum village HQI at Vivatech: the quantum computing ecosystem at the service of innovation
At the Quantum Village organised for the first time at Vivatech (stand E59), the France Hybrid HPC Quantum Initiative (HQI) – led by the CEA, GENCI and Inria, supported by teams from the CNRS and France Universités – is bringing together major players in the quantum ecosystem and showcasing start-ups in several areas of the National Quantum Strategy: computing, communications and cryptography…
GENCI at ISC 2023 : Euro-French HPC and Quantum Computing move forward at the service of sustainable science
On the occasion of the 2023 edition of the ISC, GENCI and CINES are very proud to announce that the Adastra Supercomputer has been confirmed in third place in the Green 500. This ranking underlines the progress made by France, and more broadly by Europe, in terms of energy efficiency, and more generally, the awareness shared by all players in this ecosystem of the need to act for a more sustainable IT activity, above all in the scientific, academic and industrial fields. Adastra could also be considered the first operated supercomputer to achieve this level of sustained performance and energy efficiency.
Quantum and photonic computers
The EuroQCS-France consortium led by GENCI/CEA was selected by EuroHPC to host and operate a photonic quantum computer. The European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) has selected six sites across the European Union (EU) to host and operate the first EuroHPC quantum computers: IT4I (Czechia), LRZ (Germany), BSC-CNS (Spain), GENCI-CEA (France), CINECA (Italy), and PSNC (Poland)…
VivaTech 2022
Vivatech 2022: France Hybrid Quantum Initiative (HQI) presents its HPC hybrid quantum computing technologies for innovation. The French Hybrid Quantum Initiative (HQI) will be exhibiting for the first time at VivaTech (booth G60) from June 15 to 18. Launched in January 2022, one year after the announcement of the National Quantum Plan by the French government, HQI will present the technologies and services it will provide to researchers and innovation players…
With two 100 qubits quantum computers from PASQAL, FZJ and GENCI boost HPCQS, the pan-European hybrid HPC/quantum infrastructure
Capable of controlling at least 100 qubits, the Fresnel analog quantum computer has been chosen as part of the pan-European HPCQS project. This choice, based on neutral atom technology, is the result of a joint Franco-German PPI procedure, won by the French start-up PASQAL…
Thales, Pasqal, the Île-de-France region and GENCI launch a new partnership to optimize critical systems using Pasqal’s quantum technology
Thales, Pasqal, the Île-de-France region and GENCI have just announced a new two-year partnership aimed at developing new methods for optimizing the processes of…
BIG Quantum Hackathon: GENCI is committed to accelerating quantum development in France
GENCI (Grand Équipement National de Calcul Intensif): a major player in the development of quantum computing in France.
The Quantum PAck: An innovative program to support the quantum computing sector in Île-de-France
The Ile de France region announces the launch of the Quantum PAck (PAQ), a program to support the quantum computing sector in Ile de France, unique in Europe, aimed at creating synergies between large industrial groups and startups.
